Generosity Gift and Grace - 5 sessions for use within services

The Generosity Gift and Grace Course is designed by the teams at the diocesan offices to help with the Making Disciples strand of the vision; encouraging us to grow as disciples by thinking about giving generously of our time, talents and money to the cause of Christ.

If you are looking for the main materials for use by small groups, they can be found here.

Revd Jane Ward, Vicar of Cleveleys St Andrew, has adapted the materials originally produced for midweek study groups so they can be used within Sunday Eucharists during Lent.

She is using this as set out below, and has kindly made her adapted materials available for others to use where that would be helpful.  Something similar could be created for other times of year.

She suggests:

  • 10 tables for 8 people, each table with a facilitator to gently aid discussion
  • At the time of distribution each facilitator will come forward to take a paten and chalice back to their table, and each person at the table will pass the bread and wine around to each other.
  • So that people also receive the Gospel of the week, each person will receive this as a take home sheet which will also have the parish prayer list on it, everyone being encouraged to pray daily for those who ask our prayers.  Hopefully this will foster a greater prayerfulness in people's lives.
  • Hymns will be chosen to reflect the theme

The adapted materials can be downloaded below:
