The Diocesan Investment Programme includes funding to enhance our work so that we can be a church reflecting the communities we serve. Part of this aims to move the Diocese towards being a younger church and a more socio-economically diverse church.
To enable this to happen we have funding to enable parishes to recruit: -
Applying to receive funding for one of these roles is through completion of an application process. All the details about how to apply, the timescales, and process of application are explained in our Parish Guide which can be found here.
We know that parishes will have questions about this process and so have put together a 'frequently asked questions' document which we hope will answer any queries you have. This document can be found here. Please get in touch if you have questions that are not covered in this document so that we can add them. We are keen to support parishes in prayerfully considering whether one of these roles is right for you.
An independent Grant Allocation Panel will meet twice a year to decide which parishes should be successful in their application to recruit one of these posts. Information on the panel members can be found here.
As part of the Diocesan Investment Programme, new central roles have been funded to enhance the existing Diocesan team. These roles are specifically to support parishes in: -
