In the Church of England in Lancashire there are over 250 churches in 234 parishes served by around 150 vicars. On average there are over 25,000 people attending a church activity at least once per week.
The central diocesan team exists to support our parish leaders (lay and ordained) and parishoners in creating healthy churches that are transforming their communities whether that be by; paying their clergy, maintaining vicarages and church buildings, filling vacancies, running Whalley Abbey retreat and conference centre, advice and training on safeguarding, mission, social justice, children and youthwork, communications and growing in the faith.
