New website resource: Sunday Scriptures for Reading Aloud

Clergy and others who help prepare Sunday morning services may be interested in a new combined print and online resource developed by a priest in Blackburn Diocese, Rev. Michael Hampson.

It can take all the hard work out of finding, choosing, printing and distributing the Sunday morning scripture readings.

Sunday Scriptures for Reading Aloud (SSRA) has the full text of all three readings, all on one page, in a format specifically designed for reading aloud. It can be accessed in advance, or on the day, from any device with a web browser, including laptops, smartphones, desktops and tablets.

There is a button to print out the current page and another to turn the page to any future Sunday, and there’s an optional print edition available as well, to look smart on the lectern, or for anyone to have at home. It’s all at the simple, six-letter web address ssra.uk

Rev Michael Hampson says: "This is everything needed for the Sunday morning readings in one easily accessible place. Coordinating scripture readings each week can take time and this website makes that task more straightforward for busy parishes everywhere."
