Service of Commemoration - Brindle St James
The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) regiment will sound the bagpipes in Brindle this week.
On Friday 13 October at 10.30am The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) regiment sound the bagpipes as they remember members of their regiment at Brindle St.James church.
It's 100 years since bugler Septimus Hunt - from Brindle - fought with the Cameronians and lost his life in the Third Battle of Ypres. Members of the regiment, the congregation and relatives of Septimus Hunt join together to commemorate those who fought at Passchendaele.
Children from Brindle St.James junior school will also attend. Everyone is welcome to join this short service to pay their respects at the war memorial inside the church at Brindle St.James.
