Nearly 60 curates and new incumbents of Blackburn Diocese attended our annual Start of Ministry Conference this week; a three-day event which took place in Lancaster

There was quality input throughout from a range of guest speakers on a huge range of subjects, including from all three of our Bishops, Rt Rev. Philip North, Bishop of Blackburn; Rt Rev. Dr Jill Duff, Bishop of Lancaster and Rt Rev. Dr Joe Kennedy, Bishop of Burnley.

There were many enriching conversations, space set aside for prayer and worship and the opportunity to connect and socialise with one another.

The event was coordinated and introduced by Rev. Helen Scamman and Rev. Jon Price, Start of Ministry Officers for the Diocese.

Pictures here (taken on Day 3) show Diocesan Communications Manager, Ronnie Semley, leading a presentation covering a range of useful communications advice and Bishop Jill leading the closing worship and prayer.
