SAVE THE DATE for a 'Festival of Healing and Renewal' in Blackburn Cathedral on Saturday 12 October, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The Festival seeks to normalise the ministry of healing across our parishes and chaplaincies. Healing normalised, in its widest sense, for the renewal of our county.

This is the Christ, the Chosen of God, the one who will bring healing to the nations.

These familiar words, used currently in the daily office of Morning Prayer, remind us that one of the gifts of Jesus is the gift of healing.

The day will open and close with worship. Wes Sutton will be the keynote speaker. Wes is the Director of the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation, a national ministry encouraging and equipping the church to embrace and exercise the Healing Ministry of Jesus. There will be workshops taking place in the morning and afternoon and a market place will run throughout the day offering information about resources connected to the ministry of healing.

Further information, with more details about workshops,is available below. Please do publicise the event in your parishes and communities and encourage people to come along.

The concluding worship will be a Eucharist at which Bishop Philip will preside, and which will include prayer ministry and the opportunity to receive anointing with holy oil.
