Starting from Friday 14 June at 4pm, finishing on Sunday 16 June at 2pm
The bible speaks of creation and gardens from beginning to end. Jesus uses seeds, trees, flowers, fruit, water, sky and birds to help us think of our own lives within God’s creation. Using imaginative, creative and practical ways in quietness, this retreat aims to be a prayer from beginning to end to discover more of who we are through God’s garden and also meeting with Him along the way in the beautiful surrounding creation and gardens at Whalley Abbey.
Reverend Hilary Murphy is a spiritual director, local coordinator for WCCM and is part of the dispersed community at Whalley Abbey. Having lived in South Africa, some of the time in the midst of the bush, she is passionate about God’s presence in creation. Her experiences and Ignatian spirituality have deepened and made her prayer life more creative.
