Come And Sing: Gospel Masterclass - Lancaster Priory

The next 'Come and Sing' event is being held at Lancaster Priory on Wednesday, 26th November. 

At the inaugural event in September, they had 60 participants and are hoping for over 100 this time. 

The event will be led by Tim Uffindell and is open to any parish to join in for joyful and uplifting outreach opportunity. Tim is a choir director and vocal coach who works both nationally and internationally, specifically within the gospel genre. 

Time says: "As the son of a vicar, being in a church is normal to me, but for many people these days, it's a foreign place. Part of my missional aim for these gospel masterclasses is to make church normal. Although gospel firmly has its roots in the Christian faith, it has a wider audience in terms of who is interested in listening to it and open to giving it a try. Therefore, as an outreach opportunity, these masterclasses are unique." 

The evening will consist of:

• Two hours of vocal training to learn an entire song in three parts
• A short break for social connection and community-building
• A short 'thought' about what the song might mean to us and how to apply that in our lives, whether we are Christians or not
