All the Bishops and Archdeacons recorded videos before the recent restrictions on movement. The latest is from The Venerable David Picken, Archdeacon of Lancaster.
In the video he says: “‘Who is my neighbour?’ This is a question fundamental to human existence and various faith traditions have offered different answers. Jesus makes it clear it is not just those who live next door to us and may be friends. Our neighbour is the person in need, just like the man the Good Samaritan helped in that Bible story.
"Even if we can’t spend time together, it is very important that we look out for one another. This means different things for different people. As Jesus encourages us, be attentive to one another and recognise that when we see need, we see Jesus."
