Lancashire’s Cathedral hosts the last concert of the season by its Chamber Choir on Saturday 13 July with Vivaldi’s Gloria and religious motets by Anton Bruckner, to mark the 200th anniversary of the Composer’s birth.
Blackburn Chamber Choir, led by Cathedral Director of Music John Robinson, will be accompanied by a string ensemble at Blackburn Cathedral.
Bruckner was a devoutly religious man and composed many sacred works. The choir will perform a selection of his motets including Virga Jesse, Ave Maria, Ecce Sacerdos, Christus Factus Est and the popular Locus Iste.
The £12 tickets (free for children 18 and under) are available at: www.blackburnchamberchoir.org and on the door: the concert starts at 7.30pm.
