We are getting ever closer to the launch of our next vision in November!Â
During the launch period we are encouraging parishes to hold a special local launch service on Christ the King Sunday, November 22 alongside the wider Diocesan big launch the previous weekend.Â
The big launch of the next Vision across the Diocese will take place on the morning of Saturday, November 14 at St Michael’s High School in Chorley.
This will be a lively morning when we will explore the theological underpinning of the Vision together; hear about the five strands alongside the launch of a new brand for the Diocese.Â
As spaces are limited, invitations for the St Michael's event have been sent directly to all licensed and PTO Level 3 clergy as well as to all licensed or employed lay leaders from each parish.
We will feature the launch on all our communications channels and we are also producing all kinds of resources for use across the launch period and beyond. More below.Â
Parishes are encouraged to hold a special service to mark the beginning of our next vision on Christ the King Sunday.Â
To help you do this there will be specially written prayers; all-age resources; resources for use with children and the full text of a homily, specially written by Bishop Philip
Bishop Philip has also recorded a video version of the homily you can use as part of your Christ the King service on November 22.
The new video will feature the new Diocesan branding so please note this video won't be available until November 14 when the brand launches. You can then download it from our YouTube channel and Diocesan website.
