As we start a new year, one in which we have our own Diocesan Year of Prayer, we are also supporting a 'Prayer for Lancashire' event taking place later this month.
We believe in the power of prayer and the power of coming together as a community of Christians across Lancashire. From the 24 January at 9pm there will be an ecumenical 48 hours of non-stop prayer event via a 48 hour online prayer room, featuring one hour prayer slots.
The 48 hours will culminate with an in-person worship and prayer celebration - at Life Church Lancashire - on January 26, from 7.30pm-9pm.
An online prayer room has been created for people to sign up for one hour prayer slots. We’d love you to share this with your Church communities as we cover these 48 hours in prayer.
You could open your Church buildings, encourage people to prayer walk or pray in their homes. We'd love to see families signing up to do a prayer hour together, imagine families across Lancashire praying in their homes or communities for God's Kingdom to come!
The one hour prayer slot could be divided into three 20 minute sections:
To help other Christians pray for you and your Church community or organisation we’d ask you to send in prayer requests that we can share with others. We will be sending out more prayer resources to anyone who would like them.
So here’s how you can get involved:
