Louise Hunter, PA to the Bishop of Burnley and Abi Saunders of Buckshaw Village Church (pictured) are the leaders of a great new six-part course that has been developed to support parish administrators from across the Diocese.
The course … held mainly online ... began with session one in September and concludes with session six in mid-December.
Rev Nick McKee, our Director of Vocations, commented on Twitter: “What joy to see administrative gifts being recognised and invested in by the Diocese."
During their time on the course, participants will learn more about the vital role they play in the life of their parish and the wider Diocese; more about stewardship, gift aid and grants; Registers, faculties and parish returns and many other topics.
On Saturday the participants also got the chance to meet face-to-face at an awayday, held at St Andrew's Church Hall in Leyland, and to hear from their invited guest speaker, Diocesan Communications Manager Ronnie Semley, left of pic with all the participants.
Ronnie led a busy and helpful morning session looking at a effective communication in a variety of contexts.
Later, afternoon sessions led by Louise and Abi were a chance for the delegates to learn about email management before spending some time reflecting on the Psalms as part of quality time networking with each other.
