For the past decade our Vision 2026 was all about Healthy Churches Transforming Communities.
Through faith in Jesus, we’ve been seeing exactly that; churches and schools alive with purpose and communities touched by God’s love.
Over the coming weeks we want to hear your stories of how Vision 2026 has made an impact in your part of the County. On the Diocesan and Board of Education social media channels we will be posting those Vision stories to encourage everyone.
We have already gathered some but we also want more. During the campaign please post videos, pictures etc to your own parish or personal social media channels, then tag Blackburn Diocese, Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education and Bishop Philip on Facebook and Instagram for reposts.
Bishop Philip kicks of the Vision 2026 stories social media campaign in a video released next Monday, June 15.
He says: "It's extraordinary to think that now it is 2026, our centenary year. So Vision 2026 comes to an end, to be replaced by a new vision statement. So before we make that change, it's really important for us to look back over the last 11 years and to think, what difference has Vision 2026 made to your parish or to your school?
"Whatever your story might be, it's one that matters and it's one that needs to be told. So put up those stories on the social media channels for your parish or for your school."
Diocesan Synod will receive a report in mid-July, looking back at our Vision 2026 work and the campaign will run until then, so there is plenty of time to tell those stories and get them heard!
