In a first for The Church of England in Lancashire, the Bishop of Burnley, Rt Rev. Philip North, is producing a daily video blog (or ‘vlog’) reflecting on his pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Bishop Philip is currently leading a 10-day trip to Israel with more than 40 #lancspilgrims from parishes across the Diocese which runs until November 24.

LISTEN to Bishop Philip speaking live from the Holy Land at the mid-way point of the pilgrimage on BBC Radio Lancashire. (Interview is at from the 1 hour and 9 minutes mark.) And also on BBC Radio Lancashire, after the pilgrims returned, the audio from the vlogs was used to create a series of 'on location' reports which aired during their Sunday morning religious affairs programme. You can listen to the broadcast here until and the reports (each around 6mins) begin at 1h 22m 35s; 1h 52m 15s; 2h 24m 00s and 2h 51m 50s.
