St Luke’s Church in Blackburn is excited to announce that they are a finalist in the Christian Funders Forum (CFF) Showcase Awards 2024.

As one of 10 finalists, we’ll be awarded a grant and they will have the opportunity to champion their work to the CFF members as well as VIP guests.

The Showcase is being held at the House of Lords in London on 10 October.

The Christian Funders’ Forum is a collective of grant-makers, giving over £70m+ in funding each year to good causes.

CFF members nominated a total of 77 UK registered charities and CICs in five categories and two winners have been chosen in each – for ‘Impact’ (a project that has genuinely made a difference in their mission focus) and ‘Pioneering’ (a project that is developing activity in a unique or entirely new area).

They have been recognised as the most ‘Pioneering’ charity in the ‘Youth category.

‘It’s such an honour that the CFF has recognised the hard work and commitment of the staff team and volunteers at St Luke’s Church. We love working for and with the amazing young people of the Galligreaves Estate in Blackburn and also those in Churches right across Lancashire. We want to keep inspiring young people to discover life in all it’s fullness and we’re thankful for the opportunity to inspire more people with our story.’ Rev Jason Gardner and Rachel Gardner, leaders of St Luke’s.

CFF Chair Suzannah O’Brien said: “Our 2024 Showcasing event will provide an opportunity to bring grantmakers together, to network, celebrate and shine a light on the work we collectively support”.

The Christian Funders’ Forum Showcase 2024 will champion the pioneering and high-impact work that their beneficiaries are engaged with as well as the challenges they face and the success they are achieving.

The event is also an opportunity to celebrate the Forum’s collaborative giving. There are currently more than 50 members in the CFF, whose combined giving to Christian missions in the UK and overseas totals over £70 million each year.

It brings together a powerful collective of grant-makers who are transforming lives and communities through their vital support in addressing social needs, helping the vulnerable and embedding Christian values.
