Installation of the new Bishop of Burnley, Rev. Dr Joe Kennedy

Your invitation to the Cathedral for the Installation Service

Our new Bishop of Burnley, Rt Rev. Dr Joe Kennedy, sends a personal greeting to the whole Diocese after his Consecration to invite you to the Installation Service at Blackburn Cathedral; watch the video above and book via the link below.

Meanwhile, The Dean of Blackburn, Very Rev. Peter Howell-Jones, pictured here with Bishop Joe, writes: We are looking forward to the Installation Service of Rt Rev. Joe Kennedy, Bishop of Burnley at Blackburn Cathedral.

The Installation will take place on Sunday 8th September at 4pm and after the Service refreshments will be served in the Cathedral and the grounds around it.

Due to numbers, we are unable to provide parking, but a drop-off system will be in place for those requiring disabled access.

Places in the Cathedral will be made available on a first come first served basis and you can book tickets now via this link.

As we prepare for this significant day in the life of our Diocese, please pray for Bishop Joe and his family as he embraces this new role and responsibility and they all settle into Lancashire life.
