At the beginning of July the Anglican bishops in the North West announced plans to form a brand-new independent theological college in the region.
The Bishops have established a multi-disciplinary implementation team, led by the Rt Rev. Philip North together with the Rt Rev. Beverley Mason and the Rt Rev. Emma Ineson.

Meanwhile, Bishop Philip has shared a prayer for the new theological college which follows. Please use it as you remember the college in your own prayers.
A Prayer for the new North West theological college
Father, by your Spirit, be with us as we found a new College for the North West.
Be with us as we build a vision, make plans and call together the right team.
Be with the Implementation Group and all those who carry responsibility for this work.
Be with the staff and students of the existing institutions during this period of change.
Be with all who are called to serve in your name.
Be with all who are surrounding our work with prayer.
Father, your Christ is Emmanuel, God with us.
May this new College be a community which seeks only to reveal His glory in our midst,
that all may know you in your Son whose dying and rising sets us free.
