Andy Pratt, the Bishop’s Adviser on inter-faith matters has received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Andy, (pictured), who lives in Preston and attends St Stephen’s Church in the city, received the honour for his charitable and community work, particularly during the period of the pandemic.
Read more about the award in this news story in which Andy said: "It is a real honour to be awarded an MBE and to be recognised in this way. This award recognises the important role of volunteers during what has been a really challenging time and I am proud to be one of them.”

Rt Rev. Julian Henderson, Bishop of Blackburn, said today: “I am delighted to hear this news … Andy has served for many years as my Interfaith Adviser but that is clearly just one string to his bow!

In this case it involves acts of service of real consequence by Andy in his local community; all carried out at a time of real need during the pandemic. My warmest congratulations.”
